ICA protocol does not work to Citrix servers

I used to be able to connect to Citrix XenApp servers using the ICA protocol in ASG RD.  I am now using the latest 2017 released version and it no longer works.  I get a message: Protocol Driver Error on the main windows, then it times out ans say Unknown client error 0

I have tried clearing out the folder in my profile AppData\Local\Citrix but the issue still persists.
Any Ideas?

I think Citrix Receiver 4.7 worked again - don't ask me why (we didn't get any answers from Citrix) but some versions do work, some not...

I exited Receiver and then launched a connection with ICA protocol, it launched Receiver (saw icon in the system tray) and I was able to connect to XenApp Servers again.

I tried to connect to some of our XenDesktop Win 7 desktops, put cannot.  I get a protocol drive error and the unknown error 0

Anyway, thanks for your help.
