Application to SQL communication
#1
Hi,

I can see there are some similar threads, but cannot find the exact answer I am looking for.

We have installed a central SQL database, and will have users launching the application from various sites across the world. Our security department is asking if, during the communication between the application and the SQL database, are the passwords sent in plain text?

Thanks.

No - passwords are always encrypted in the data source - in both central SQL database or local file
