Installation always in new folder

Why does the installer of a new Version of VRD not update the existing version? Wants always to be installed in a new directory and we always have troubles afterwards do configure again the DB-connections/environnement.

This is a little bit annoying.

Hi...from which version did you update ? We changed the installation folders for new major versions, but the installer should recognize the old installation and so that shouldn't be a problem.
Only 2012 could not be updated directly because of big internal changes. Is that a recurring problem for you ?
