Remote Desktop 2011 does not connect to Windows Server 2016
#1
Running visionapp Remote Desktop 2011 on Windows 10 computers we realized that RDP connections to Windows Server 2016 do not work anymore.
They fail during the login with "The connection cannot proceed because authentication is not enabled...."

It worked without problems with the same version of Remote Desktop under Windows 7 and connections to older Windows server versions still work even on Windows 10.
The builtin RDP client of Windows 10 has no problems connecting to Windows server 2016.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Indeed even for the old 2011 version the workaround described in that thread helped.
Connections to Windows server 2016 are working now after adding "tspkg" (without quotes) in the registry key Security Packages.
Should look as below:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Security Packages
""
tspkg
