Windows 10 & vnc crash
#1
Everytime we try to connect using VNC ASG 2017 crashes.  We are running the latest patched version.  Any ideas how to fix this?  Is it a known issue?
thank you!

Did you run "Components check"? Perhaps you install x64 first time then you need to run Components check and run "Fix" for VNC component...

Yes actually the first time I tried using it I got a different error then did a component check which then re-registered some .dll and it said fixed.  Now it just crashes.

Any log details? Or is it really "crashing"?

Can you try to unregister the dll and register again?

open cmd.exe and switch to the program dir then try to execute the 2 commands
regsvr32.exe /u scvncctrl64.dll
regsvr32.exe scvncctrl64.dll

I tried your commands same issue.  I get a pop up that says ASG-Remote Desktop 2017 as stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.

I will try to find a log.

I think you did a reboot test also.

Do you also tried to use 32bit version? Just to see if this works...

I think now you are running the 32bit version - we had some issues (in testing) when changing from 32 to 64 bit or otherwise - but normally a reboot and a register of the dll was fixing these issues...

You are right - upload is running - but that's really strange - nothing changed in the VNC component...
