ASG-RD 2017 client tries to connecto to DB on port 445

Hi

We have one single user that is unable to connect to the ASG-RD database. 2017 Patch 2.
He is using the same environment config as the rest of us.

But for some reason his client tries to connect to the DB on port 445.
For everyone else it is using port 1433 towards the database (as it should).

He has tried to reinstall the ASG-RD client, and tested the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
I have also tried to look in the help dok to find out where the actualy SQL port the client used can be reconfigured, but I could not find anything.

Do you know why his client attempts to connect on port 445 and how I can change it to 1433?

Hi,

never heard this before - you can set the port by adding :1433 or ,1433 to your SQL server instance - please try that...

Thanks. Changing the port with ,1433 worked. We also found the reason for the port changing. He has some proxy routing software installed that messed up and rerouted all traffic in that IP range to a proxy port.
