Importing Connections from the old ASG VisionApp
#1
At my company we had the old version of ASG RDP called ASG Visionapp 2012 v 7.1.3767.0. We then upgraded to the new version 11.0.5924.0 recently. We exported the connections from visionapp (to .csv) and tried to import them to the new version. On the new version when importing, it says the import was successful but nothing transfers over. The import function does work on the new ASG but only when you export from the new version. Are the .csv files from the old visionapp and new ASG formatted differently where the new version can't read it? Is there a way to import these connections with out manually adding them?

You can upgrade your old datasource - just create a new environment in version 2018 and choose "Environment=>Upgrade from 2012..." - follow the instructions in the wizard and you data should be upgraded...

The csv-format has changed - if you want to use it, just try to export one connection in 2018 - you can specify which columns you ant to export - and the same format is needed for import :-) It's also described in the help file
