[SOLVED] Custom icon images (G)
#1
Is it possible to use custom images for icons. I found the icon administration section but could only make one not add an existing icon.

You can use only the icons in that way they are provided by the icon administration. Customized icons are not supported.

Hi,

recently we are planning how to best implement custom icons.

Our ides is as follows:
The icon, which actually is only displayed on the tab will also been shown in the treeview for the connection object. There it will additionally get a small circle depending on the server's status: Red when not reachable via the network, yellow if reachable but not connected and green when connected.

Is that, what you had in mind, when posting this thread?

We use a program called KeePass to manage passwords. http://keepass.info/ in version 2.x and they give you the option to use custom icons which are image files. Attached is a tree view of how we organize clients.

For example you can take a websites favicon (.ico) and use that as the custom icon.

You know, the challenge is to have a custom icon with the ability to change it a bit to show the different status the server actually has.

We have a dedicated server monitoring system so for us it would be more important to have the kind of custom icons to show what kind of system it is. This is obviously not a huge deal but would be nice to have.
