I would be interested in being able to use a shortcut to put the focus back to the local computer even when in full screen mode, so that I can execute system keystrokes (Alt+Tab) on the local box. But I don't want to set that as the normal behavior... i.e. I want Alt+Tab to be sent to the remote computer normally.
In VMWare Workstation, the VM will accept all system keystrokes normally, but if you hit Ctrl+Alt, focus transfers to the host box, and system strokes will then be sent to the host. You have to set focus back to the VM again for it to start accepting the system strokes again.
Something like that would be nice in a Remote Desktop session.
