missing connection details on synced vCenter
#1
Hi

Just upgraded ASG2012 P8 to a new ASG2015 P6 instance. Using SQL DB.

Now when I sync a folder (whether manually or via scheduled task) with vCenter the connection details IP/MAC are missing from all the discovered VMs.

This worked OK with ASG 2012

You can see the difference in the attached pictures of the same connection object.

Using same vCenter credentials on both cases

Is this a known defect? New behaviour to P6?

Thanks

I tested the vSphere sync again after applying Patch 7 but it still doesn't work - it doesn't matter whether I specify computer name or IPv4 address, the details are blank (IP and MAC Address).

As I said before this worked OK in vRD2012 via manual sync (same credentials).

I have tried creating a new sync folder from scratch and even using different vSphere credentials but looks like it is still a defect.

Can you advise please?

Thanks

I checked it again - first run with "Host and Clusters" - IP and MAC were set correctly - second run with "VMs and Templates" - values were not set correctly - so it's still missing for that sync type - didn't test it enough - will be in the next patch
