Find Items - Disable/configurable type ahead function
#1
Hi Smile

Can't find a setting for it, so here comes a feature request.
We currently have 13 000 connections in our ASG-RD DB.

This makes the type ahead search a bit slow, and the users experience a typing delay for every character they type.
Would it be possible to turn of the type ahead search or make a configurable/internal delay beetween typing a character and ASG-RD doing its search?

Something like a 1 second delay beetween typing and the search would probably be enough as most people type at least one character per second.

Ok, current setting "SearchBuffer expire timeout" will be also used for "live search" with the next patch - so you can configure the time Intervall when search is executed

Hi, is this also available in ASG RD 2012?
As we can't move Forward using ASG RD 2015, because the database structure has changed completely and we have a custom Import mechanism to directly create Connections from a custom source not offered in the Import functions (CSV/VMWare/Active Directory)

No - we do not develop in version 2012 anymore - but we plan to implement an API for importing objects to ASG-RD 2015...

OK thanks for the Info.
Currently we are using the given Stored Procedures inside the database to create new Connections, but we are facing issues passing the "Computer name" for e.g. an RDP Connection to the stored procedures in ASG RD 2015 as the data seems to be stored application encrypted inside the tables.
Is there any way to get that working on ASG RD 2015?

Tim
